Default rough idle problem solved?

1993 camry 4cyl. with 250K miles

Had a rough idle problem and cleaned all sensors, new plugs, wires, etc.

still had a bit of a rough idle. I replaced the top motor mount "dogbone" and it helped. So, i thought what would happen if I took that mount out and try and start the car to see how it runs.

rough idle problem solved!
But, is this a good idea to leave that mount out permenantly??

Five months have gone by...

Update?

What sensors did you clean?

Do you still have the upper motor mount out?

Removing the mount solved the rough idle problem?

Some owners have "improved" the mount system by using a setup from a 1996. This has a much bigger rubber doughnut.

I sure wouldn't drive around without the top motor mount - engine will rotate fore/aft as you start/stop, and this is sure to cause other problems (broken wires, worn hoses, etc.) - not to mention extra wear/tear on the drive train.
