Default Upper Strut Mount

I have a 1995 Camry LE with the 2.2L engine. Last May the upper strut mount was replaced by a shop here in town. I have noticed after 3000 miles of driving since then that the rubber isolator in the big end has cracked all the way through I noted on the rubber isolator "Made In Korea". Is there a noticeable difference between a Toyota upper strut mount and an aftermarket strut mount. There is about a $40 to $50 delta in price? It may be worth the extra $$ to buy the Toyota part and know it will last longer

Would concur, Toyota parts are excellent.

If you are handy with tools replacing the upper engine mount is easy enough to do.

I am not too worried about changing the mount. I just want to get "a feel" for what others have experienced with using the aftermarket junk. I for one am not that impressed with the quality. It reverts to the old addage: "You get what you paid for."
