1994 2.2L Won't start
My girlfriend has a 94 2.2L LE model Camry, and she needs it for work desperately but I can't figure out what the heck is wrong with it.
We went for a drive the other day, and 20 feet out of the driveway she put down the accelerator, the engine rev'd but the car felt like it was under a lot of load, and when she released the accelerator the engine died instead of returning to idle.
I have tried getting it to start, but all it does is crank. No misfires, no stumbling...NOTHING. I even tried starting fluid, NOTHING. No misfires, no stumbling. No cylinders fire whatsoever.
I already replaced the fuel pump (which was under warranty) so it cost me $0, and fuel is present at factory recommended pressures. All 4 plugs are receiving a spark (I removed them and cranked to see the spark). There are no vacuum leaks or anything that I can find.
I have no idea what else it could be. It bugs the heck out of me that not even starting fluid is helping when I have spark at all 4 plugs.
I (we) are both desperate to get her car to just last a little while longer before we can afford a new one for her to get to work!
