Hello! I'm looking for a solution to my 1999 Camry's very annoying alarm system that I assume was factory installed (but not sure). Every single time I get out of the car, all the doors have to be locked and closed within 30 seconds or the alarm will go off. Also, when I get in the car, I have about 30 seconds to put the key in the ignition or the alarm will go off. The alarm has been this way as long as I've owned it. I purchased the car used from someone else. As you can imagine, the alarm makes the simplest tasks (pumping gas, taking groceries out of the car, etc) into a race against the clock.

Is there a way to disable the alarm system, or at least disable the "feature" of the system that requires me to put a key in the ignition within 30 seconds? Any other ideas on how to work around this issue?

Guessing the system is armed and has an entry time delay before alarm goes off.
