2007 4 cyl tranny fluid check
Tomorrow my daughter and I will be checking her tranny fluid level and we have been having a tough time getting a good readying on the dip stick.
We recently did the drain and fill ( three times ) and want to make sure the T/F level is where it should be. I don't have the manual with me now to read up on it.
Does someone know the procedure for checking it?
Should the tranny fluid be hot? What temperature?

Car on level ground.
Fluid hot.
Apply emergency brake.
Start engine and move gear selector from Park to Low and back a few times. Then place in Park.
With engine still running and selector in Park, check trans oil. Fluid is checked with engine running and trans in Park.
For future drain and refills take note of how much drained out then attempt to refill with the same amount.
If fluid is too low it may be just a matter of a few ounces of difference thus don't add too much and give the fluid time to drain completely out of the filler tube before checking stick, then wipe clean and check again.
