Default 2007 Camry 2.4 LE Start and stop issues

Hi everyone,

New member here but for good reason! I have been diagnosing my mother in laws car for a few days already. The car starts and then proceeds to stall out right after starting. I'm getting all the P035X codes for ignition on all 4 coils. Things I've done are:

- Checked spark plugs (tips are all black, probably from starting and stopping)
- Checked resistance for coils primary/secondary
- Checked harness to see if 12v is being supplied
- Checked resistance of cam position sensor and cleaned off (no damage)
- Removed MAF, Cleaned MAF, tested start both on and off
- Touched the fuel injectors to see if they have fuel
- Checked if there's continuity in all fuses under hood and under dash
- Made sure battery is topped off

I'm getting close to buying a junk yard ECM to see if this is the reason..But was hoping for some opinions of what could be wrong before I shell out more money.

Fuel pump.

Fuel pump relay.

There is a relay that turns on the fuel pump when starting then keeps the pump on unless the engine quits running. You may be able jump the pump to keep it running.

Oh I see. There's a relay that pressurizes the fuel rail and another relay to keep it running? Do you happen to know where it is?

Well I took out the back seat and opened the door to fuel pump and turned car onto the on position and heard nothing. I'm going to order a fuel pump. But, I wonder why the car can still start for a few seconds.. could it really be the relay?

The pump will only run when the starter is engaged OR the engine is running.

Look under the hood for a small plastic box perhaps attached to a strut tower. If there is a box, inside box are electrical terminals. Connect the FP and B+ terminals. This action will now power the pump if the ign key is turned to on.

See link for the fuel pump circuit opening relay (COR). This relay powers the pump.

I'm not sure which one is the relay. Do you happen to know?

I read somewhere that it's soldered on to the board below. Is that true?

Could these be it, it was under the steering wheel. I saw this on a video for a Corolla.

I tried swapping the two blue ones also to see if that might be a quick fix. No fix.

The fuel pump COR relay is now soldered to the circuit board.

Check fuel pressure.

Check for 12V power at fuel pump wire harness. May be gray color for power and white/black for ground.
