Default 2011 Camry - no high beams or DRL

Recently noticed my high beams aren't functioning and then realized the DRLs aren't working either. The high beam switch on the stalk seems to work, the dash high beam indicator comes on as expected. The bulbs appear good, only a couple years old. The fuses for L/R high beams are good, checked continuity and confirmed functionality in another location. Don't see a fuse or relay for DRL (same bulbs as high beams), don't see a relay for any of the headlights at all.

The issue I've found is that there is no power to the L/R high beam fuses. Yes, I checked while the high beams were switched ON and also with car in drive for DRL functionality - no power. All the other fuses are powered as expected when switched on and all other lights are functional, just not the high beam/DRL bulbs. I've tried to research this prior to posting, from what I've read the headlight relay functionality is integrated into the junction block and isn't serviceable, block has to be replaced.

Is there anything else I can check before investing in a new junction block? I'm very handy but not a mechanic or electrician. Thanks for any help.

Your diagnostic process is correct.

Low beams receive power from same source as DRL and high beams. Power is routed to DRL relay circuit which splits off to high and low beams. The DRL relay is built into the circuit board. The relay is controlled by Light Control Module circuit which is controlled by the main body computer.

Some have found burned wiring on the circuit board containing the DRL. The brown wire to the light control module goes to chassis ground.

Thanks for the reply and info. The circuit board you referred to is the junction block (part 82720-06101) I mentioned, correct? I pulled it out and didn't see anything that was burned, not seeing any questionable wiring or other issues.

Still assuming it's relay related so may just take a chance and replace the junction box since it seems that's the only way to replace the relay functionality for the high beams/DRL.

One can check for 12V from the battery at the relay terminals per schematic. Then check if ECU is sending a signal to the relay. Typically the internal ECU semiconductor "switch" grounds a wire to complete say relay circuit rather then applying power to the relay.

Don't know the P/N but the internet has lots of photos of the board to compare. Dealers have new ones and Ebay used ones.

Toyotanation has a few threads on the DRL relay but no much real help.

Have not found a replacement relay only part.

Would be much easier to diagnose without the integrated relay. I'll check the terminals and see if I can isolate it further before replacing the junction. Seems replacing the junction worked for other toyota models with similar issue.

Forgot to update this thread in case anyone else has the same issue... The problem was indeed the junction block assembly with the integrated relays. Replaced the part and the high beams and DRLs work as expected.
