2015 Camry SE brakes locking upon sport mode?!
Hello, I was at a dealership yesterday and drove a 2015 Camry SE. I want to purchase one in the very near future - as soon as I find one I like, probably within 3 weeks.
Here is what happened:
I'm driving about 40mph and salesman says, "HEY, let me put this in sport mode so you can paddle shift!". Now we're in sport mode, great. Less than 3 seconds later I apply light/normal brake power. **This is when things happened... the car applied FULL BRAKE POWER instead of light/normal brake power and the salesman who wasn't wearing a seat-belt nearly comes flying into the front console - the car came to a dead stop. I say "huh, wonder why that happened". I applied some gas up to 5mph, then again for no reason, FULL BRAKE to a dead stop.
Why did the car apply full brake power?****
-Salesman moved the center console **** towards the left(from D, Drive). Now, he wanted to show upshift/downshift from moving that **** up/down.
This is rather concerning because I will have a family in the car and I don't want to get rear ended because I decided to move the center **** to the left.
