Default 2020 XSE battery

I have a 2020 XSE with 6000 miles on it and the battery has died twice in 4 months while in my garage. The first time I hadn't driven it in 3 days. The 2nd time was overnight. Has anyone experienced this with their 2020? I took it for service at 5000 miles and they said the battery was still good at 85%.

Other owners have complained of the same issue.

When you park and open the drivers door listen for a chime. There may be some link between chime and battery as in the body module not turning off.

Does the car have sat;nav or a system? There is something about the sat/nav not going into sleep mode after a short ign on and off cycle. Service bulletin below:

BE-00141T-TME

Do you have Toyota Android which sends out warnings about say a window being open? The system may not be going into sleep mode but keeps sending out messages. Keep windows up, lock car, etc so no messages are sent.

The dealer may or may not know of the battery drain problem and the fix. If it takes too much time to diagnosis (if possible) they might just send you on your way.

Default 2020 XSE battery

Full time Uber driver here for 3 years. On my second Prius and I wouldn't drive anything else. 10 hours drive time on $20 worth of petrol.

I had the same problem. I have a 2020 SE and the battery died out of nowhere. I hadn't driven the car in 4 days, and when I went to leave for work the next day, it was completely dead. I jumped it with no problem and nothing was left on that would have caused it.

The dealer replaced the battery and I haven’t had any problems since.

This is something I do hear from time to time and keep thinking the keys are in the ignition.
Taking to the dealer today as its dome this 3 times now (2020 SE 5 months old) and I do carry a jump pack in the car just for this issue.
Good pointers as I will ask if they have heard about the issue you have pointed out.

The Dealer had to call in a top Tech from Nashville to diagnose the issue as I threatened the Lemon Law. There were things running in the background causing the battery to run down. I haven’t had any problems since.

Username: fungabriel from another forum posted the below. (I had two drained/dead batteries on my 2020 camry LE. This firmware update may have solved my problem - now going on a few weeks without any battery problems). You can show it to the dealer and see what they say. You can't service this yourself. You'll have to bring it into a Toyota dealership's service station).
Some 2020 – 2021 model year
Camry, Camry Hybrid, Corolla Hatchback, RAV4, and RAV4 Hybrid vehicles and some 2021 model year Corolla, Corolla Hybrid, and RAV4 Prime vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following conditions:

DTC B15A804 is present in current or history.
Red SOS LED stays on after bulb check.
Toyota App is inoperative.
Unable to subscribe to remote services.
Unable to activate Wi-Fi.
Depleted 12V vehicle battery when in IG-OFF.

A DCM reset and firmware update is now available to address these conditions. Follow the DCM Reset and Firmware Update Procedure in this bulletin to update the firmware.

Also includes Canadian version.
