My car was recently stolen. It cranked slowly but started and I drove it home. When I try to start it cranks slow and then starts. One day it would not start at all and the next day it started after it chugged a bit. Now it cranks slow and then starts. It also sounds louder, so I am not sure if the muffler came loose from them driving over every pothole in town[/align]

 

Not starting as in engine not turning over? Or turning over but not starting?

Check the battery cables for corrosion and terminal damage. The starter may be dragging.

Try jump starting the engine and determine if engine cranking picks up.

No the engine turns over sounds like rrrrr rrrr rrrr and then starts.
