I'd first make sure there isvoltage from the wires. You can remove a spark plug andground it on the engine and see if you're getting a big blue spark. Make sure you disconnect the other plugs so it won't start on 3. I have a tester that tells me how many voltsare running through the wires and that will tell me what the output of the coil is. Of course you need to know the wires are OK first. If you're not getting a spark you need to make sure your primary on the coil is getting 12 volts.I've notlooked at one so I don't know where it would be as it's buried in the distributor. If primary voltage is there and no spark on output I'd say bad coil, bad, bad coil.
