Default Break Pads Replacement Interval

For those who bought new Camry, at how many miles did you replace break pads?
Does the front one goes out first or rear?

I've had 2007 and 2013 and for both car rear went out first but wear was not regular wear. Irregular wear means that one pad is worn all the way and the other is still like new, only on driver side.

I did some search and found that first pads replacement is at around 70K miles. Of course, there are many variables in announcing the first pads replacement mileage. Your driving habit will be one and type of your daily drive (highway commute) is another. But over all if you put in about 10K miles per year not abusive driver and good mix of city/highway driving would be my assumption for getting 70K miles.

When searching people were sloppy in mentioning if the first pads replacement was front or rear either. Normally the front goes out first as most of the weight moves forward. So, But for my '17 Camry, rear pads also needs to be replaced around 70K miles or so too.

This does not mean that you should abandon your brake pads until the miles as pads could wear unevenly. I had this happen twice on rear pads on two different occasions. It is good to know what to expect to go out at certain time. You should check the pads thickness every two years or so just to be sure. Only problem is that even with wheels removed, it is hard to see the inner pads....
