Hi all! I've got a 94 v6 Camry w/auto trans that stays in low when the headlights are on. The dash indicator light "L" comes on and stays on if the headlights are on and the car will downshift to low if I turn the lights on while driving. Anybody have any clues why this happens? Ground wire? Fuse?

With the headlights also comes taillights. Check the wiring harness in the trunk for damage causing crossed wires.

Try removing the taillight fuse, and left and right headlight fuses one at time, then turn on headlights and determine if this makes a difference. Do this during the day only of course.
