Default 94 toyota camry no spark help needed.

My 94 Toyota camry wont start .At first the car would be hard to start I would drive it to a store and when I returned and tried to start it it would crank and crank before it would start .Done this for about 3 weeks sometimes it would fire right up and others you had to crank it for a couple min before it would start .

Then one day I was driving it and it died I pulled over and it started right up but after parking it at home it just wouldn't start so I pulled a plug out and had my ole lady crank it over while I checked for fire nothing .Jumped te1 to e1 and got code 12 tried to start it and it fired right up drove it around after and was fine for a few more days but after parking again no start and no firing so I order a distributor put that in but the same result no spark .
Do you guys have any ideal where I should go from here?

Ok just to update anyone I also took a meter and checked the red/white wire from the igniter and also the red and white wire on the small plug to the distributor with the ignition on both had a 12 volt reading.

Code 12 is a signal problem between the distributors signal coils and the ECM. Check the wiring and connectors between the distributor and ECM.

OK so I checked G+ G- and NE+ and NE- both had good readings however when I checked my primary coil résistance I got nothing I tried while cranking and also with just ignition on but failed to get any readings from it.This is a new distributor whats the odds the coil is bad in it?I looked at my old coil and it had a massive 16th inch crack across the top .

Ok so I believe I had my meter on to high a ohm setting I set it to 200 ohms and got a reading of 01.6 off the primary coil résistance.According to the manual should be

Primary coil resistance (Cold):

0.38–0.550

Primary coil resistance (Hot):

0.45–0.650

I`m assuming that is an ok reading .If so then all my checks for the distributor including air gap is ok.
