Hi folks,
Was driving along the highway the other night and noticed that I could not get overdrive to engage, then it was engaging only intermittently. I was doing 100kmh and when I accelerated the OD would engage, but when I backed off the throttle it would drop into third. A hell of a noise shifitng up and down all the way along the highway. I slowed down so as not to cause any further damage (if indeed there is any). Now the car will not engage OD at all.

There is no check engine light, the car drives normally in gears 1-3.
I pulled the fault codes by bridging E1 and TE1, no fault codes, but the OD light was flashing at the same time as the check engine light.

Any ideas? Is there a solenoid that shifts into OD? perhaps thats on the blink?
