96 camry DX 4cil, oil light on only until 2000rpm

96 camry DX 4cil, oil light on only until 2000rpm
ok, so i changed the oil pump on it and it seems to work fine, only problem is that the oil light is on when started and will only go off if i go over 2000 rpm, any suggestions?

Why did you change the pump?
Did you remove, install, change anything other then the pump, such as get into the area of the pressure regulator spring?
Did you install the gears on the new pump so the dot on each gear is facing the same direction?
Changing the pump should not cause a lose of pressure.
Does this engine have any sludge?
Suggest you don't start the engine until you install a test pressure gauge. It could be the oil pressure sender is bad, if not and now have really low or no pressure best stop running it until you solve the problem.
