Hi everyone, this problem likely has more than one answer but here it is.
My sons 97 Camry has the ABS light on, it just started yesterday, does anyone know what the problem(s) is and does it pose any danger to ignor it for a while.

I would have it checked out... It could be any number of things from the computer to one of the sensors.

 

Get it looked at because when the ABS light is on, the PCM will not activate ABS if your wheels lock up under braking.

 

yeah it means you have no abs. have you done any suspension/brake work recently?
typically replacing the struts without removing the speed sensor will cause the abs light to go off.
