Constant dying help
I have a 1990 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder and recently it started stalling and dying after driving. It got worse to the point where you would start it put it in drive and then it would die as soon as you accelerated. So I changed the fuel filter and then changed the oil because of flooding the engine trying to start it . So.... It ran perfectly for a couple weeks or so... and then one rainy day.... the same issues occured. Whats wrong with my car. I thought maybe fuel pump but any other car ive had just wouldnt start at all when that happened. please help.

I changed the distributer cap plugs and wires and it is intermittent but not just rain it can be a really nice day and do the same thing the car isnt particularly picky when it comes to weather... cuz last week it was pooring with hail and it ran fine... but a few days ago it was sunny and 50 and it ran like crap.... ive already fixed that any more suggestions
I don't know like I said I think it may be the fuel pump. I turn it on.. it turns over and starts just fine but you get over say like 5 miles an hour and it dies like it would if it was out of gas. After it dies it will still start (its a little harder to) but starts every time. I have no idea... i was hoping the fuel filter was the problem because it ran great for awhile after that.. there was a lot of sludge and stuff in the old fuel filter.... I guess I'll buy a pump and if that doesn't work... I'll ask again.
There is a filter inside of the gas tank. Some parts vendors will not even warranty a fuel pump unless you replace the filter at the same time.
I don't think the pump is at fault, since it starts everytime. (you could verify the condition of the pump by checking the fuel presure.) I think your problem is in the tank. (after all, if there is sludge in the fuel filter, then there is sludge in the tank) I would pull the gas tank and flush it out, replace the in-tank filter, and add a fuel additive to clean the fuel lines.
If this solves your problem, replace your fuel filter again after about a month. (this should give the fuel lines enough time to be cleaned out by a good fuel system cleaner.)
I hope this helps.

Well the car is running good now except the battery keeps dying now.... When you shut off the car the heater blower still blows and the seatbelt light stays on even after you take the key out of the ignition... hmmm i give up haha
