Hi all,

My daughter's 1995 Camry's cruise control has been flasing and finally quit working. Does anyone have any ideas about the best place to start looking? Thanks

If blinking there may be a trouble code(s) stored in the cruise control computer.

There is round plug located under the dash near the steering wheel. To access the codes the Tc and E1 terminals of the plug need to be connected with wire (or a paper clip).

The Tc and E1 terminals are the 2 center terminals in a row of 6. The 6 terminals will be at the upper or lower portion of the plug depending how the plug is rotated. The plug has a row of 4 then 7, the 6 terminals (or spaces for terminals).

Turn on the ign switch.

Connect the Tc and E1 terminals.

If code(s) are stored the cruise control light will output them by flashing the code one numeral at a time. Example, Code 21 = 1 flash, pause, 1 flash, longer pause.

There is a 1/2 second pause between numerals and 2.5 second pause between codes.

If more then one code is stored they will be outputted from lowest number to highest number. Once all codes are outputted they will repeat.

After checking disconnect the wire and turn off ign key.

If no codes are stored the light will flash at a rate of about 4 flashes per second.

If codes are found post back with number(s) or try an internet search using year, Camry, cruise control and code number(s).
