Default Dash lights stay on after car is turned off. 96

I have a 96. Yesterday when I turned off the ignition some of the dash lights, vent fan, headlights, and wipers stayed on. I turned to car back on, then back off a couple of times and everything went off. Last night we parked and the oil light and a couple of other lights stayed on, but headlights and everything else went off. On, off, on, off again and they all went off. We went to leave later and the same dash lights had come on by themselves, and there wasn't enough juice to start the car. We cleaned the battery cables good, but no go. Still keeps doing it. We had to disconnect the battery overnight. Everything went off this morning when got to work, then checked it at lunch and the battery was as dead as could be.

Any ideas?!?!
Thanks

Headlights? Does the car have daytime running lights?

Wiper power comes directly from the ign switch, there are no relays in the circuit.

Might be a sticking ign switch.

There ign system has two switches built into one unit, one for the engine items, the second for the other electrical items.

The wipers receive power through the ign switch, power for the headlights bypasses the ign switch. However the daytime running circuit board receives an input from the Gauge fuse. This fuse is on the same circuit as the wiper, both controlled by the ign switch.

The ign switche is behind ign key tumbler system and can be replaced by itself.
