Electrical Problem?
'99 Toyota Camry, runs like a champ.
Battery was going dead, so I went and replaced it.
When I put the new battery in, and I hooked it up, the headlights lit up, and the horn sounded solid.
I unhooked it, undid the fuse for the horn, and decided to do some troubleshooting.
All fuses look clean, and everything works normaly. The car acts like it wants to start, but it wont finish turning over.
It almost acts like the alarm is malfunctioning... so I'm about to go unplug it and see what happens... anyone know what could be wrong besides this?

I had a 2000 celica that would do this when you reconnected the battery termials. If you have a key fob once you hook the battery back up you should be able to disengage the alarm system. You said the car wanted to start? With the key in the iginition or just on its own? I think this is a toyota fail safe of somesort. Not sure how much help i can be other than telling you this is normal when reconnecting the battery and the alarm should be able to shutoff manually with a key fob?
