Engine Noise
I have a 2011 xle V6 that has 24,500 miles on it. Recently, the camshaft oil control valve in bank 1 went bad. I decided to change all of the camshaft oil control valves in bank 1 and 2. At the same time, I changed the spark plugs, oil and filter.
The engine has a truck like sound, not quite as it once was. There are no codes, the engine idles at the right speed with no fluctuation, and it accelerates normally. I have used fuel system cleaners to keep the injectors etc. clean.
I have tried using an automotive stethoscope to try and isolate where the sound is coming from.
I can’t find any singular origin.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?
