Default Fuel Pump Power

Working on daughters '04 Camry 2.4 l. No power to pump, no codes, checked every fuse and relay under hood and in dash. The Haynes book I have does not show diagram for the pump during start, only fuel level indicator. I hot wire pump and it works. Ideas, drawings, suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

Check the C/OPN relay. This power the pump when engine is cranking over to start or running. It's solenoid is powered by the IG2 fuse.

See private message.

Both fuse and relay good. No power to pump. Hot wire the pump and it works. Start chasing wires.

Thanks

Get a voltmeter and a section of electrical wire..

The C/OPN relay socket should have 4 terminal plugs.

For the solenoid portion of the relay.
One terminal goes to the IG2 fuse which is powered when the ign switch is on. Determine if this terminal has power when ign switch on. The other terminal for the solenoid goes to the ECU.

For the switch portion of the relay.
One terminal goes to the pump. The other terminals to the EFI relay switch, then the EFI fuse, then the 12+ battery wiring. Find these two terminals then jump them. Determine if the pump works when engine cranking.

Thanks! I'm not in town now. The IG2 fuse good and I had 12 volts at the socket on the plug in. The C/OPN relay was changed to a known good relay. Still a no/go. Start tracing wires when I get back home. Been working on getting my retirement home started and project/hobby cars.
