Default Fuel tank flush?

I somehow got water in my gas tank back in aug 08 ruined the fuel pump/filter the mech. said you should replace the filter in 10k , well waited too long. It wont run took filter off rust in the line mix with the gas saw it once the spilled gas evaporated, musta it clogged it up. Any thoughts on whats best step. replace tank or just flush, put new filter on keep on rolling? etc...

95 dx 4cly. 2.2
Thanks
Duane

Default follow up

I do use both fourms and follow up on both, so I don't believe i am wasting time just reaching more.

I took the filter off and rust was in it, i put a clear glass one inline too and will leave it on for a while so I can see whats coming thru the line. it was flowing pretty clean so I am going to just watch it for a while. Its running!

The Autozone website may have info on removing the injectors. Not to hard but you will need new injectors O-rings.

Suggest you do a complete fuel system clean.

Did you replace the can fuel filter in the engine compartment?
