Default heater not working

Hello, first time here...Anyway I have a problem, I just got a 92 (92-96?) Camry and the heater does not work at all. I did a quick check and the cable that goes to the heater control valve is moving the lever through its range of motion-so that is not it. Is there a common problem to these cars for the heater not to work(like the flap inside the heater box falls off, the heater core gets clogged up, or????). Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to waste a lot of time and effort looking in the wrong area. Thank You..

Default RE: heater not working

'Well you hit a few problems. I would myself make sure the t-statt is working properly. After that feal or use a infra heat detector and check the hose to and after the control valve .
