Default moonroof open warning

I am getting a "moonroof open" warning. The moonroof is not open and will not open. Any clues?? 07 Camery.

I have had very bad expereince with the electronics. The radio shuts off when switching between bands. The a\c has mind of its own.

Thanks

Since it is still warranted by the manufacturer (assuming that you have less than 36k miles), have you had a dealer attempt to diagnose these electrical issues yet?

Based solely on the limited description of the problems that you described, I would suspect one orboth of the following components as the culprit:

-alternator
-ECU

It's a good thing thatit's still covered by the mfr. warranty sincediagnosingelectrical-relatedproblems can get quite involved and expensive.

sorry, i want to ask. is moonroof = sunroof (i've never heard before)?
maybe also you can check the fuse box. make sure there is no blow fuses there.

Moonroof = glass, sun roof = solid.

I have 65k miles on it. So, I do not think warranty is still in effect.

The warning light says moonroof. Go figure.

I will check the fuse, but I would think that other things would not work.

I was hoping this was a common problem with the Camry, but I guess not.

Thanks for the replys.

Oh, well then my assumption was incorrect. Well definitely check the fuses (as suggested here by another member) since they are easy and free to check. If they check out OK and you're still having problems you might want to check your charging system (e.g. alternator &battery) for proper operation.

I can't say whether it is common or not, but it is the first time that I have heard of this variety of electrical problems on a 2007.

Default MOONROOF OPEN warning light 2007 Camry

This light comes on as soon as I open the door and then goes off. The moonroof, which I have not opened in months (or years) is closed and will not open. I saw this topic was discussed in 2008 but I did not see a final remedy or even a diagnosis. Any ideas?
