Default STEERING WHEEL WOBBLE

I have a2000 camry with a front end wobble that starts around 20 mph and 99% GOES AWAY at 27 mph. I bought this car with 95000 miles and it just had a 4 wheel alignment but thetires were worn and I replaced them with a new set of firestones same factory size that came with the car. That is when the wobble started I took it back to the firestone store and they replaced all 4 with another set of new tires after looking at the suspension for something worn out . The wobble was still there so I had the spare tire rim swaped with the drivers side rim and it almost went away but it is still there a little bit.( I have done business with this firestone store for 25 years and they have always treated me well. I am an old car enthuseist and know about mechanical and paint and likeand ownAMCperformance cars.) What should I check next? Thanks

Default RE: STEERING WHEEL WOBBLE

I'm wondering if the shop bent a rim (or two)when they removed/installed the tires? Are the wheels aluminum or steel? I would check the front wheels by jacking up the car, putting it in neutral, then hand turn the wheels to see if there is a visible wobble. You could also try to wiggle the wheels by hand to check for looseness.
