I have to share this. I had a sticking throttle body on a used 2001 camry that I bought with 65k miles. The gas pedal would stick at idle. At a red light I would have to jab the gas peddle to start out and jerk the vehicle. I almost got rid of the vehicle after failed throttle body cleanings. Then I figured it out! I noticed someone had tampered with the Idle stop? screw. I could see factory paint on the threads of the adjustment nut-screw, up 3 or 4 turns. I loosened the nut, adjusted the screw back so the paint mark was at the nut and the 2 yrs of annoying sticking was over! I guess the throttle was falling back too far and sticking the butterfly? I had dealers tell me I needed a new throttle body.

Someone must have adjusted the screw which is a no, no. Good catch.
