Default Timing Chain Replacement

I have an 02 Camry with 130k mi on it and thought that it's time to replace the timing chain. However, talked to the tech from a local dealer today, and he said that with the chain, you don't have to replace it ever, unless you are in an accident that damage the chain. Anyone know if that is true?

thx

Chain is good for the life of the engine.

Default timing chain

What is definition of "Life of Engine". I have 305K on a Camry and all I know that's wrong with it at the moment is timing chain rattling. If its not that, I am open to ideas. Thanks

a 2009 post reopened

answer is
the life of an engine is a rebuild a recondition of that engine

in your case if you can hear the timing chain rattling at any time

a timing chain kit is needed now
