Default tune-up!

Hello all,

What is the typical tune-up for an '01 Camry LE? I was planning on plugs, wires, air filter, and pcv valve (if it has one). I'm used to my Camaro which is a world apart from this.

Also, it is my daily driver so I'm not looking for performance outside of gas mileage. Has anyone had good luck or a suggestion for plugs/wires?

Thank you,
Brett!

Not sure you will gain much in using aftermarket plugs wires. You can save a few dollars by buying Toyota parts mail order at:

1sttoyotaparts.com

A discount Toyota parts dealer.

There is not much else to change.

If you have an automatic trans suggest changing the fluids (diff and trans) every 60K miles as this will greatly extend its life.

Check the PS fluid, if dark you can change the reservoir fluid between drives until it is again clean.

The engine does have a PCV valve.

Timing belt change is recommended every 90K miles.

Thank you. Any brand of spark plugs you would recommend?

The originals may have been NGK or Denso platinum.
