All components other than normal wear and maintenance items.

Wear and tear items are brake pads, struts, tires (covered by tire maker warranty), wiper blades, engine drive belts, sway bar bushings, etc.

CV axles should be covered under the power train warranty. Sway bar should be covered but not sway bar bushings.

toyomoho --Thank you for your answer , now I'm going to need what's covered from this extended policy they sold me . the deal that is sold it to me, perhaps when that kicks in it may cover what the 60,000 miles warrantee will .I'm not much of an insurance expert.

TO TOYOMOHO
thanks again , I do not have the Platinum coverage in which I see covers bumper to bumper. , what I don't get is if Toyota gives you a 5 years 60,000 mile warrantee on the drive train and engine what am I getting extra coverage for unless it goes deeper into axle and say water pumps. because its costing us $75,00 per month X 36 months =$2,700, . I believe a good Toyota wont have this cost over 3 years on failed parts or worn parts . . any way thank you for the sites , Ill probably have to call the extra cover agent to really know what's the deal.

Is this a warranty you purchased from a Toyota dealer and serviced by a Toyota dealer?

If its a Toyota warranty the link below might help you.

https://www.motor1.com/reviews/38440...nded-warranty/

The power train extended warranty only appears to give an extra year and 40K miles to the original power train warranty.

Note that the Platinum warranty appears to retail at $2500. Typically a buyer pays this up front or its incorporated in to the loan. If you paying $2700 for an inferior warranty you may be paying too much.

If a Toyota extended warranty, the price is usually negotiable and typically any dealer in you state can sell one. Some dealers make it a business to sell there warranties. Before Toyota cracked down there warranties could be shopped nationwide regardless of were the car was purchased. This lead to some steep discounts on the pricing.

These extended warranties are extensions of the original warranty.
