I have a 2001 Camry 4cyl 2.2l about 75k miles. This week the rubber in in the crankshaft pulley gave way. Now the outer portion of the pulley is no longer connected to the inner portion, so it chewed up the generator drive group belt.

Has anyone had issues with the crankshaft pulley failing? And if the pulley fails is there another cause for the failure (i.e. seized a/c compressor, etc.)?
