I had to replace the battery in my wife's 15 Toyota Camry. The battery was very weak and made alot of systemscwork wierdly. After replacing the battery the passenger window wouldn't work from the master switch but the rear windows would from the master switch. All the windows work from their door switches themselves. I thought it was the master window switch so I replaced the switch with a used one. That didn't work so I exchanged it for another used one in case it was bad, that didn't work either. Stupidly I tried my 2012 Camry master switch on my wife's 15 Camry, the plug looked the same but switch was a bit different. The 12 Camry switch didn't work at all in the 15 Camry, but now the 2 rear window switches didn't work now. I did some online research (Should've done this first) and found out about the reset procedure, (Roll down and hold 5 sec then up 5 sec each doors window switch) I did the reset procedure and it fixed the master switch for only the passenger door window not the rear 2 switches for the rear windows. I repeated the reset several times even doing it 5 times for each window at a time. Still the rear 2 switches for the rear windows don't work. I disconnected the battery for an hour to recreate the initial cause then went through the reset again and still the rear switches on the master control still don't work. I replaced the master switch with the used one I have and it still doesn't work for the rear 2 Windows. All the windows still work from their door switches.
I'm at a loss here, the fuse is good as all other door functions work. Unless there's a master window control module somewhere or some box that houses the memory that's bad. Or the wiring was damaged by trying my 12 Camry master window control switch.
What else could it be what's my recourse here? What can I do now?
