Driver side power window 1998 toyota camry
My passenger side power window on my 1998 toyota camry won't go up, but will go down from the passenger side switch. From the drivers side master switch it won't go down or up. When I hold the switch in the up position on the passenger side I don't here anything either, no clicking or anything. Would this most likely be the motor or possibly just a bad switch?
Is the passenger window lock out switch on?
The drivers door master switches and individual door switches have slightly different wiring.
The driver switch has two wires running to the individual door switch which from here go the motor. The drivers switch, switches 12v positive polarity between the wires going to the motor to rotate the motor one way or another.
Each passengers switch has a 12v positive hot wire running to it. The passenger switch, switches this 12v between the wires running to the motor to change direction of the motor.. The passengers switch then at the same time also connects the other wire from the motor to one or the other wires that comes from the master switch.
Check for bad wiring from drivers and passengers door.
