Question Having trouble replacing ps belt 2002 v6

Hi Folks,

First time posting to the forum. Own a 2002 Camry XLE 3.0L V6 w/ 90K miles. No problems to report other than what some of you experienced over the years, i.e., e.g. warp rotor TSB issue, engine/trans mounts. Decided to replace the AC/Alt and PS belts this weekend. I've worked on a lot of different vehicles for many years, but I never had so much trouble with replacing a PS belt!

Removed front RH wheel, apron cover, etc. I can see and get to the adjusting bolt, but I cannot believe - if I am reading the manual correctly - that I have to remove the pressure tube, etc. to access and loosen the second [pivot] bolt??!!! I cannot even see where I can place a pry bar to loosen the belt tension...

Anyone ever come across this?? Special tools required? Anything you can provide is appreciated. Thanks!

The process in the manual is to remove the bolt. Never heard of having to remove it to change the belt.

I would suggest you to read the manual properly.i am sure you'll get help from there.
