hazard lights turn on when using turn signal

Default hazard lights turn on when using turn signal

Recently my hazard lights started to turn on whenever i try to use the turn signal , i havent tried anything because i dont know where to start, anyone experienced this? please help

You sure the hazards are on or are just both turn signals are now working at the same time, there is a difference.

Year of car?

Could be a bad switch.

yea they both go off at the same time, 2002 camry LE 2.4

The turn signal switch on the steering locum could be bad. Youtube should have videos on replacing the switch..

i mean they both flash at the same time when i hit the switch to go L or R, i purchased the flasher relay but your saying the switch ?

The flasher is wired in between the power source and turn switch. When the turn switch is moved it sends this on/off power (flashing) to either the L or R turn signal bulbs. Given the flasher is ahead of the turn switch not sure how it could cause both L and R turn signals to work.

Doubt it but since you have a new relay try it.
