I was turning on my dim lights to bright the other evening in my 2016 toyota camry se. My lights momentarily went out and then the bright lights came on. This is very dangerous on a very dark road. Has anyone had this experience? Thanks! Teri

 

Does the car have daytime running lights, auto on/off lights, auto high beam dim lights?

 

I turned on my lights using the regular lights button. I was driving on a dark road and when I put on the bright lights. The bright lights went out momentarily and then came on. It has never done this before on any camry that I have owned. The other night near dusk I was trying the bright lights and they did not go out. Thanks for any input. Teri

 

Check your owners manual page 166/167. Determine which setting you had the light switch on: 1, 2, 3 or 4.

If setting 1, check that the high bean sensor is not obscured by something as cautioned on page 167.

Is this car still under dealer warranty?
