I have a 2007 Camry SE (purchased 4/13/2006). Recently the trunk lid would not close after using keyless entry regardless of the # of times I tried to force it closed (actually slightly dented the lid with my elbow trying to force it). After 15 minutes of frustration and being late for an appointment, I managed to close the trunk after repeatedly pulling up on the trunk release lever in the cabin. Further experimentation revealed there is an issue with the keyless entry into the trunk since I can open it with the cabin lever and by turning the key in the trunk lock.

If anyone has any information as to how to correct this issue while avoiding a visit to the dealer, I would most appreciate it. As a mechanic myself, I find this issue very annoying. I want my red babe to be fully functional.
