Weak points on the XV40 Camry? (2007-2011)
I currently own a 2004 BMW 325i. I wanted to get a camry, but before I jump into that, I would like to compile a list of weak points on the XV40 Camry so I can compare it to my 325i. Please contribute!

Suggest a review of past posts for these years of Camry at the Toyotanation website where members voice their opinions and issues with this car.
Failed head bolt block thread issues are showing up on 2007 (and earlier) 2AZ-FE engine. Toyota may have fixed the tread problem some time in 2008 with a new block design. The 2AZ-FE has issues of excess oil consumption. Both problems have long threads at this site.
Toyota appears to have offered a new design 4 cylinder engine in 2009, the engine becoming standard in 2010 for the 4 cylinder cars.
I would be reluctant to purchase a new or late model Camry and if doing so if possible would purchase the Toyota extended warranty.

After a few bugs in earlier years, the V6 has been a good engine. Same for the transmission.
Fit and finish has declined over the years thus look at these years of cars rather then assume its a up to past Toyota quality standards.
