Default Shocks and springs

i am an owner of a 97 camry, it has 170 k miles on it, i was wondering if i should replace both the springs and the shocks at the same time or should i save my money and just replace the shocks? i am replacing my shocks because my left front shock is making rattling noises and i suspect the rubber shroud is torn, which allows the metal componenets come in contact with each other every time i go over a pothole or a bump.

just replace the front sturt mount it will fix the rattling noises....and if u plan to lower ur car u can replace spring and shock at same time...or u can just replace the shock only....
