Wife hit deer. Front Driverside blinker not working and rear blinking quickly
2009 Camry
Slight indent next to driver side headlight, not bad.
Headlights work.
Front driver side blinker not working.
Rear driver side blinking quickly.
Where should I begin to self diagnose? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The blinker/hazard light system has its own wiring/system not connected to the headlights.
Have you checked the non-working blinkers wiring and bulb?
The front and rear passenger side turn signals are wired together (same for the other side).
If the front signal is not working, has a problem with the wiring, etc it might cause a load imbalance on the blinker flasher unit. The result is the working blinker will flash at a higher rate or slower rate.
Suggest you check out the front blinker for shorts, damaged wiring, etc. As stated previously the front and back bulb wiring is connected. If the back works, power is getting to the system. It may not be getting to the front bulb.
The owners manual should have info on changing the blinker bulb. If you have a volt meter you can check for voltage at the socket with the blinker on.

I haven't taken anything apart just yet. I figured I'd better get a game plan together before I go taking apart her car. I just bought new bulbs for the front and back directionals just in case while I have apart. I need to find owner's manual to see where fuses are and how wiring is setup. Thanks for your help Joey P
