rock the steering wheel back and forth till you can move the key

try pushing in the key as you rock the wheel

dont force it or break off the key

Is the trans an auto. If so, could be a problem with the ign key lock electric solenoid. This solenoid works with the trans gear selector. Disconnect battery and determine if key can be moved or removed.

Check the cig/radio, ECU-IG, stop fuses and brake light switch all of which work with the system.

If no help, remove cover on steering wheel to access ign key lock system. Find the key interlock solenoid and remove it. The solenoid when powered moves a small pin, make sure the pin is free to move.

If OK try spraying lock cleaner/lube into lock (obtain a can with the small hose) from all access points on the lock body. Gently tap key and body with something metal to try and remove key or rotate.

The steering wheel rotation method may still work (assuming this is the problem). Have needed to play with the wheel and key for a good minute at times to get the key to move.

There is always a locksmith.
