Intermittent power to engine light
Hi everyone.
My wife has a 1994 Camry obd1.
The engine light is not always coming on.
When it does the fuel pump works and the motor starts.
I have run a power wire direct to the new fuel pump and it gets power but still won't fire unless the light is on.
We have changed fuel pump, relay and filter.
We cannot find the reason why we are having this problem.
Please help

What is this engine light you are posting about? Are these indicator lights on the dash that illuminate when the ign key is turn to on?
The pump will not operate unless the engine is cranking over or running. One can bypass all the fuel pump relays, etc by connecting the FP and B+ terminals inside a small plastic box mounted to the passengers side strut tower.
