is the problem in the sender or in the instrument panel

the tank is empty but the guage is at 1/4 or a bit less

is there any fix known

i guess the pump and sender are in one unit .... have no picture of it

The sender can be separated from the pump. The float on the sender arm may be stuck, damaged, etc and not fully dropping when tank is empty.

Remove rear lower seat cushion, then oval plate on chassis flow to access top of fuel tank and fuel tank pump-sender top.

under the rear seat is handy

will see if rod is bent or float stuck
check connections for corrosion and dust etc
if the needle moves .. should be able to sort it from there

if needle doesnt move properly ..new sender unit
