Default fuel sending unit / dash guage / valve rattle

Hi I just replaced a fuel tank on a 93 Camry, swapping the fuel sending unit. I am wandering if the fuel gauge on these cars are supposed to drop all the way down or stay at the current level when ignition is turned off.?

Also the valves in the engine are rattling badly under acceleration. Any simple fixes there, seafoam? Im not a Toyota expert yet..

The fuel gauge needle will float when the ign is off (may not show fuel current fuel level but may not drop to the bottom).

The valves are making noise under acceleration as in excessive valve clearance. The valve system is adjusted with shims not hydraulic. You might check the engines oil pressure, if too low can make the valve train noisy.

The fuel injectors can also make noise.
