Just picked up this 2001 2.2 4cyl camary 95000 mile (bearly broken in) any how the fuel guage does not work properly I have read about replacing the fuel sending uinit and checking it. What Id like to know is if the fuel pump and the fuel sending unit are one in the same /combined or are they seperate items? and does anyone know the the ohms should read while testing and across what wires?

The fuel sender is mounted on the same bracket as the pump.

Fuel sender wires are green/white and brown (ground). Ohm reading is not specified.

 

I am having a very hard time finding a fuel sending unit listed anywhere for this year/model does anyone know why that is? Toyota has one but no where else can i find one listed for sale or available. Any ideas why?
