Default Need my dome lights back. Help!!!

I have no dome or vanity lights. Clock always starts at 1pm and only works when auto headlights come on when it gets dark. Tried replacing fuse, but it blows the second I put it in.

Year of car?

Any after market devices such as an alarm, remote start/door lock, stereo amp, etc.

Depending on year of car check the cig lighter socket for a short..

Its a 2008 XLE. No after market anything. My cig lighter socket is currently out. Tried replacing fuse with no luck.

So, the cig lighter is disconnected from the wiring and the CIG fuse is still blowing? When the CIG fuse blows the clock resets to 1 pm and the dome light is out?

If so check out the dome switches, socket, etc. The dome light is always hot. The dome switches grounds the return leg of the bulb to power the light. Perhaps the wiring is grounding prior to the bulb.
