RE: 2007-2009 Camry Idle RPM
1998 Camry LE 2.2L 4-cyl.
Itvaries basedon the ambient air temperature, of course. However, when the air temp. is about 70 to 90 degrees and the engine is "cold" (i.e. has been stopped/off for at least 4 hours), idle RPM is about 1200.
As the air temp. drops into the 50 to 70 degree range, and the engine is cold", idle RPM is about 1400.
As the air temp. drops into the 30 to 50 degree range, and the engine is cold", idle RPM is about 1600.
As the air temp. drops into the 10 to 30 degree range, and the engine is cold", idle RPM is about 1800.
I have never operated the engine at less than 10 degrees. In fact, I do not even go outside when it is that cold.
