Clutch and difflock troubles
Im having some troubles with my 1988 Camry alltrac
the previous owner replaced the clutch and after that the difflock didnt work.
Any ideas on what it could be?
Also the clutch pedal is really hard to press down

Isn't the diff lock actuator powered by a vacuum actuator. Perhaps the owner failed to hook up the vacuum plumbing?
For the clutch determine if the problem is the master/slave cylinder system or inside the bell housing. Watch the action at the clutch release arm and push rod coming out of the slave cylinder when someone is pushing up and down on the clutch pedal. Look for signs of binding, listen for strange noises inside the bell housing.
The master/slave system typically has issues with being too soft, not hard. Most likely the problem is inside the bell housing such as clutch pressure plate or somehow the release arm is not on its pivot point. If it is the pivot point you may be able to fix without taken the trans out.
