Smile Spark plugs for my new 99 Camry

Finally got my new (to me) 1999 Camry home. It has the 2.2 L engine in it. As with all other vehicles that I buy, I usually do a good tune up, oil change etc.

I am lost on the type of plug to use for this vehicle. Local auto store (NAPA) recommends the platinum one. While O'Reilly recommends a laser iridium for 10$ a piece.

Any recommendations from the other members here? Thinking of picking up the NGK iridium ones for 6.99 a piece or the Bosch Platinum 4 for 4.99 a piece....

Thanks!

Per owners manual recommended plug type is:

Denso PK20TR11
NGK BKR6EKPB11

A Bosch R3 Platinum2 18-3770-8 may also work although many owners avoid Bosch as they claim they don't work well in Toyota products.

Suggest not using iridium.

Use a twin ground platinum plug. These plugs will last at least 100K miles.

IMO, Denso plugs are a superior product, though harder to find in local stores. Go with the recommended Denso.

I like Denso's as well. Never had any issues with them, although I never really had issues with NGK either.

Just had my mechanic put in a timing belt. Didnt want to tackle it myself. Car has 232,000 miles. As far as I know the plugs have never been changed. My wife is the original owner. They are Denso plugs, and I think the original factory. What do you think?

Original might be platinum. 60K to 100K is the advertised range. 100K is common.

How does the engine run plus MPG, etc?
